Tixfar

We make small apps people keep on their home screen.

Three free Android apps, built for reading scripture offline, singing together, and finding someone to marry. No subscriptions, no ads.

Free to install Android, on Google Play Works without a signal once downloaded

Built to work when the network doesn’t

Most of what our apps do happens on the phone. A Bible translation is downloaded once and then opens instantly, on a train or in a village with one bar of signal. Song lyrics and the search index live on the device too.

That shapes everything else. Downloads are a few megabytes rather than hundreds. Nothing streams in the background. Battery and data stay where they belong — with you.

Genesis 1 : 1, in two of the catalogue’s translations

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

ஆதியிலே தேவன் வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் சிருஷ்டித்தார்.

English and Tamil — and whichever language your congregation reads in

What each app is for

  • Bible

A catalogue of translations you choose from, including languages that rarely get an app of their own. Right-to-left scripts are handled properly. If the translation you read isn’t there yet, you can ask for it from inside the app and see when it arrives.

  • Tamil Christian Songs

A songbook you can actually find things in — search by title, artist, album or a half-remembered line of the lyrics. Make a song sheet for a service and share it as a link. Request songs that are missing.

  • Matrimony

Profiles that a person has checked before anyone sees them. Photo verification, identity checks and horoscope details where families want them. Report anything that looks wrong and a human reads it.

All three apps are free. The Bible and Songs apps don’t ask you to make an account at all — open them and start reading.

Who we are

Tixfar is a small independent studio. We publish on Google Play, we answer our own support mail, and we keep the apps lean because most of the people who use them are not on fast connections.

If something is broken or missing, writing to us is the fastest way to get it fixed — it reaches the people who wrote the code.

Questions we get a lot

Do I need an account?

Not for Bible or Tamil Christian Songs. Matrimony needs one, because a profile belongs to somebody.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. Everything we publish today is Android, on Google Play.

Will you add my language or my song?

Ask inside the app — Bible has a version request screen and Songs has a song request screen. Both go straight to us, and you’ll see the status change in the app when it’s done.
