Plain version: the apps are free, use them sensibly, don’t harm other people with them, and understand that we can’t promise a free app will never have a bad day.

Who these cover

These terms apply to the Tixfar apps — Bible, Tamil Christian Songs and Matrimony — and to this website. Using any of them means accepting them.

What the apps cost

Nothing. There is no purchase, subscription or advertising. We may change that in future, but we will not start charging for something you have already installed without telling you first.

Your account

Matrimony needs an account; the other two do not. Keep control of the email address on your account, because anyone who can read your mail can sign in. Tell us straight away if you think somebody else has got in.

One person, one profile. Profiles that are not a real person looking to marry get removed.

Behaving on Matrimony

Don’t misrepresent who you are. Don’t upload a photo that isn’t you, or one you have no right to use. Don’t harass anybody, and don’t use the app to solicit money. We remove profiles that do these things, and a removal can be permanent.

If somebody reports you, a person reads the report and decides. If we block your profile, you can write to us and ask us to look again.

Content in the apps

Bible translations and song lyrics are published by their respective copyright holders or are in the public domain, and we include them on that basis. If you hold rights in something we have published and we have it wrong, write to us and we will take it down while we sort it out.

What you write — a profile, a request, a song sheet — stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it where the app is meant to show it, and nothing beyond that.

What we don’t promise

The apps are provided as they are. We work to keep them accurate and available, but we can’t guarantee either, and we aren’t liable for a loss that follows from using them. Nothing here limits a right you hold under the law of your country that cannot be limited.

We are not a matchmaking agency, we do not vouch for any member beyond the verification described on the Matrimony page, and we are not party to what happens between members. Use the same judgement meeting someone from the app as you would meeting anyone else.

Stopping

You can stop using the apps at any time by uninstalling them, and delete your Matrimony account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes. Carrying on using the apps after that means accepting the new version.
