Party Flash privacy policy
Last updated 10 October 2026
Party Flash turns your phone’s screen and torch into party lights. It has no account and never asks who you are. This page says what little the app itself sends us, what the ads in it collect, and how to switch each of them off. It covers the Party Flash Android app.

Who we are
Party Flash is made and run by Tixfar. Write to support@tixfar.com about anything on this page.
What stays on your phone
Your favourite patterns, the patterns you make in the Studio, your LED messages and your settings are saved on your phone only. A photo you pick for a Studio texture is copied into the app’s own storage on the phone and is never uploaded. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
Anonymous usage statistics
To learn which features people use, the app sends us a few small counts. They are tied to a random ID the app makes up when it is first opened — not your name, email, phone number, advertising ID or contacts.
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| The random install ID | 16 random letters and numbers, made on your phone. Reinstalling the app makes a new one. |
| Phone type and app version | “Android” and the version number of the app, nothing more about the phone. |
| Which features were used | That the app was opened, that a light show, music sync or LED message started, that a Crew Sync party was hosted or joined, that a pattern was saved, and that ads were removed. |
| Pattern and light choice | Which built-in pattern played (custom patterns are just “custom”) and whether it used the screen, the torch or both. |
We never receive your LED message text, your custom patterns or your photos. You can turn this off at any time in Settings › Privacy › Share anonymous usage stats; nothing more is sent after that.
Your phone’s network address reaches our server, as it does with any internet connection. We use it only to stop abuse, such as one source flooding the server, and do not store it with the statistics.
Crew Sync parties
Crew Sync lets several phones play one light show together. While a party is running, our server holds what is needed to keep the phones in time: the room code, the show settings (pattern, speed, and the word for text mode), and the name each phone chose, which is “Host” or “Guest 2” unless you type one. Everyone in the room sees those names and the word.
This is kept in the server’s memory only, never written to a database, and it is gone when the party ends, after 12 hours at most, or when the server restarts. For our statistics we keep a one-line summary of each party: the room code, when it started and ended, how many phones joined at most, how many shows were played, and whether it was lights or text. No names and no text.
Ads and your consent
Party Flash is free because it shows ads, served by Google AdMob. To choose and measure ads, Google’s ad software in the app collects information such as your phone’s advertising ID, its model and system, your approximate location from your network address, and how you interact with the ads. Google uses it as described in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We do not receive this information about you; we only see totals such as how many ads were shown.
- Europe, the UK and Switzerland, and US states with privacy laws: the first time you open the app, a consent message from Google asks how your data may be used for ads. No ad is requested before you answer. You can change your answer at any time in Settings › Ad privacy choices.
- Everywhere: you can reset your advertising ID, or turn off ad personalisation, in your phone’s settings under Google › Ads (or Privacy › Ads).
The “Remove ads” purchase
The one-time “Remove ads” purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details; the app only learns from Google Play that the purchase exists, so it can switch ads off and turn them off again after a reinstall. Once ads are removed, the app no longer loads Google’s ad software at all, and no ad information is collected.
Permissions the app asks for
| Permission | Used for |
|---|---|
| Camera | Switching the torch (flash) on and off for light shows, and scanning a party’s QR code to join it. The camera picture is never saved or sent. |
| Microphone | Music Sync, only while you have it switched on. The app measures how loud the music is, on the phone, to time the lights. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent. |
| Notifications | The notification that keeps a show running with the screen locked, with buttons to pause or stop it. It comes from the app itself; we send no push messages. |
| Photos | Only when you choose a photo as a Studio texture, through Android’s own picker. |
The app does not use your location, contacts, call log or files beyond the photo you pick.
How long we keep it
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Anonymous usage statistics | 400 days, then deleted automatically. |
| Crew Sync party details (names, word, settings) | Only while the party runs; never stored. |
| Crew Sync party summaries | 400 days, then deleted automatically. |
| Things saved on your phone | Until you delete them or uninstall the app. |
Your choices and rights
- Stop the usage statistics: Settings › Privacy.
- Change your ad consent: Settings › Ad privacy choices (where it applies), or your phone’s ad settings.
- Remove ads and the ad data that comes with them: the one-time “Remove ads” purchase.
- Ask us a question, or ask us to delete statistics: write to support@tixfar.com. Because the statistics are tied only to a random ID and not to you, we usually cannot pick out which rows are yours; in practice, switching statistics off and reinstalling the app breaks any link to past data. We answer within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
Party Flash is meant for teenagers and adults and is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect anything from children. If you think a child has used the app and want something removed, write to us.
A note on safety rather than privacy: the light shows flash quickly. If you or anyone nearby is sensitive to flashing light, turn on Settings › Photosensitive safe mode or don’t use the strobe patterns.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will change the date at the top.
